Nigerian singer Babatunde Rahim popularly known as Lyta has been called out by Yinka Ask, the founder of a Nigerian luxury fashion brand, Ashluxe for flaunting a fake design of the brand.
Lyta posted a picture of himself in the supposed fake shirt with the imprint of ‘Ashluxe’ on it, however, Yinka reposted the picture on his Snapchat and referred to it as ‘fake’.
“If you wear fake Ashluxe, just make sure I don’t see it”, Yinka captioned his repost on Snapchat.
He further posted on his official X (formerly known as Twitter) account that he would call out anyone who messes with his brand.
“If you wear fake Ashluxe and have the audacity to tag me, I will call you out”, the Ashluxe founder wrote.
Nigerians have reacted to the call out by the designer. Some questioned the singer’s decision to tag the brand when he knew he was wearing a fake, while others condemned the manner the Ashluxe founder called Lyta out.
A certain X user with the handle @effizzzyy wrote, “Na fake Ashluxe Lyta wear, e no kee person”.
Another user, @47kasz wrote, “If that was another big artiste or influencer wearing a fake Ashluxe, I’m sure Yinka Ash won’t post his pictures to call him out”.
The singer replied to the designer on his Instagram story using a meme that implies ‘Love and Light’, Lol!
