Based on the story of Lisabi, an 18th-century Egba farmer who leads the rebellion against the oppressive Oyo Empire, leveraging the collective power of his fellow farmers and enigmatic abilities. The moment marks a pivotal moment in Yoruba history after centuries of subjugation resulting in the defeat of over 6,000 Oyo soldiers.
Directed by Niyi Akinmolayan (The Prophetess, Wedding Party 2, Chief Daddy 2) Lisabi is executive produced by Lateef Adedimeji, who doubles as the title lead.
