President Muhammadu Buhari has inaugurated an advisory technical committee on the proposed N30,000 new minimum wage.
The committee’s role is to advice the Federal Government on the source of fund and how to implement the proposed new minimum wage in a way that is sustainable going forward.
Part of the Committee’s role also include proposing a work plan and modalities for the implementation of the new wage.
The committee will be headed by renowned Economists, Bismark Rewane with other experienced Economics and administrators on the lists, and is expected to submit its report within one month.
This comes a day after the NLC held a nationwide protest over the N30,000 minimum wage across the country.
