The former IAAF president Lamine Diack has resigned from his position as honorary member of the International Olympic Committee.
Lamine Diack is under investigation in France for charges of money laundering and corruption and was suspended by the IOC yesterday. A report by the Wada Independent Commission found the IAAF complicit in a Russian doping scandal which the commission claimed was responsible for a sabotage of the 2012 Olympic games.
Lamine Diack served as President of the IAAF for 16 years and only stepped in August.
