Technology executive and CEO of the free online survey software/questionnaire site, “surveymonkey.com”, David Goldberg, died on Friday Night. He is the husband of Facebook executive, Sheryl Sandberg, the author of “Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead.”
On Saturday morning, his brother, Robert Goldberg, wrote on his Facebook page: “Dave Goldberg was an amazing person and I am glad I got to know him.”
Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg also wrote on his own page: “My thoughts and prayers are with Sheryl and her family.”
David Goldberg was known for his outspoken support of his wife’s efforts to promote equal pay and treatment for women in the workplace.
He is survived by his wife, two children, brother – Robert, and mother – Paula, who runs the non-profit Pacer Center, which provides health services to children with disabilities.
