Chris Bosh had 21 points and 11 rebounds in a 107-102 win over the Toronto Raptors, Dwyane Wade adding 19 points.
It was Toronto’s first loss of the season, leaving the Heat as the Eastern Conference’s last unbeaten team.
The New York Knicks matched the Raptors’ 2-1 record after beating the Charlotte Hornets 96-93. Carmelo Anthony poured in 28-points to take him past 20,000 for his career.
In the Western Conference, Pacific Division pair Golden State and Sacramento were both victorious.
