Indeed, things are beginning to turn into reality for Nollywood sensational actor, Alexx Ekubo and starlet actress, Adunni Ade following the ugly end of a highly budgeted cinema movie, 2nd Honeymoon they both starred.
Kicked off from the very day one of the female personal assistants to the costumier bared her mind over reasons behind of her damaged phone by the set director who claimed she was infringing on the copyright of the yet to be released movie.
According to this female apprentice who refused to put her name on press, said the phone got smashed as a result of the content it captured. For her, she allegedly accused the two acts of making love to each other outside the movie set. As opportune, she recorded them through the camera lens of her phone.
On discovering, the movie director who came to call them back on set caught her; while as a way to put an end to such scandalous incident had to smash the phone with the support of Ekubo. In quest to recover her phone, she raised her voice with threat of exposing the duo if they don’t replenish or return her phone to its former state before it was damaged.
Speaking through the movie’s publicist, Fun-Code Media, the director called for annulment of the lady’s claims, adding that she was infringing on the rights of her client while the shoot lasted. “Constantly we warned her not to record our artistes while on set, but she insisted until our director angrily smashed her phone. If she can tell the general public the truth, it will be nice, but establishing such case on her wrong doings won’t help issues.”
“We are not denying the fact that the movie doesn’t have circumspection scenes. Yes, we have them, but they are on the script. It will be action-packed when released, because we are working with professionals and we have spent a lot. So, her threat can’t stop the movie from making wave,” he enthused.
Efforts made in getting the executive producer, Dabby Chimere to speak on the alleged issue failed, as she was more on the operational department of the crew. Meanwhile, the movie parades not just the earlier mentioned, rather the likes of Uche Iwuanyanwu and Uzor Arukwe starred.
