A wrestler for World Wrestling Entertainment was arrested hours before a live show in Hartford on Monday night.
Tenille Dashwood, who is known as WWE Diva Emma, was arrested at the Walmart on Flatbush Avenue around 1 p.m.
Investigators said Dashwood tried to take a red iHome Slim Swivel iPad mini case, which is worth $21.14.
Dashwood, who is originally from Australia and lives in Winter Park, FL, was not featured on Monday Night Raw, which was filmed live at the XL Center in Hartford on Monday night.
Dashwood, who is known for her unusual dancing gimmick, also tweeted during Raw under her Emma Twitter account.
It is unclear what Dashwood’s status with the WWE is.
The WWE released the following statement following Dashwood’s arrest:
“WWE is aware that Tenile Dashwood (WWE Diva Emma) was arrested for allegedly shoplifting, and the matter is currently under investigation by local authorities. Ms. Dashwood is ultimately responsible for her personal actions.”
