The annual Ghana Movie Awards took place at the Accra International Conference Centre on Monday December 30th, 2013.
Since its inception in 2010, the GMA has celebrated and honoured the achievements of both actors and actresses and the various stakeholders whose diverse contribution have helped to sustain the industry.
Highlights from the awards;
- Northern Affairs got four awards mostly the biggest awards for the night.
- John Dumelo won Best Actor in a leading role but he thinks Joselyn Dumas deserves to win Best Actress in a leading role. Jackie Appiah got the awards.
- The organizers of the awards had a tribute to the Late Poet, Novelist Professor Koffi Awonoor and a prize in writing was also awarded to him.
- The award show was suppose to start for 8pm but due to the heavy rain and some ghanaian celebrities too came late for the red carpet show. The event started around 11:45pm.
- There was Monalisa magazine and Glitz magazine awards too. You will see the winners below.
The show was hosted by Peace Hyde, Ohemaa Ghana, Funny Face and Benny Blanco.
