Confusion Na Wa is not a movie you watch with your brain asleep. The balance of humour and satire
combined with strong performances make this film award winning stuff (Best Picture –2013 Africa
Movie Academy Awards). Without trying, the under dogs look far more intelligent than the seemingly
successful people. And for a change, we get beautiful shots of Northern Nigeria with local actors. The
language while appearing simple has so much depth and is stylised. Unfortunately, there are some
lighting issues and the translations could have been improved. Confusion Na Wa ticks all the boxes for
the right reasons.
