Crown of Joy Foundation, a charity organization, whose focus is helping other charities to attract donations and sponsorship, hosted over one hundred children from different charities and orphanages in the Lekki/Ajah axis at its inaugural annual Christmas party on the 7th was held at the Echo Event Centre, Lekki-Epe Expressway opposite Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos.
The children were from Arrows of God Orphanage, Oke-Ira Nla, Ajah, street kids from the Marwa Roundabout area organized by Abiodun Soyemi in conjunction with Foursquare Gospel Church, Abijo and Olive Bloom Orphanage, Ajah Speaking at the event, the President of Crown of Joy Foundation, Mrs. Oluseyi Rose Ozoya stated that “The aim of the event is to spread the joy and love of Christmas to children who normally don’t get that kind of love. Since this is the maiden edition of the Christmas party, this is also an opportunity to introduce our foundation and its activities to the public. Long term, we hope to serve as a link between charitable persons and companies on one hand and charities/orphanages on the other hand”.
There were lots of games, gifts and fun activities to engage the kids. The choir from the Arrows of God Orphanage who were trained by Pamela Chukwuemeka of the Platform For Empowerment, sang different songs and carols to entertain the children and adults. There were music performances by Twinstar and Annabel to bring to a close to the event in a celebratory mood.
