Nigerian singer, Portable did not seem to endorse the sophomore album released by rapper, Shallipopi.
The singer took to his Instagram stories today, April 13, 2024, to express his displeasure with Shallipopi after the latter released his sophomore album, ‘Shakespopi’ the previous day.
The hits from Shallipopi’s album eclipsed the popular song “Tony Montana” by British-Nigerian rapper, Skepta which featured Portable. Since “Tony Montana” was released, it has been the number-one song for weeks, and Portable does not want that to change.
Speaking in Nigerian Pidgin, the singer said, “Man pass man oo, you go try rest. Before them fit comot my song from number 1, them go drop album”.
The singer also assured Shallipopi that he would reclaim his top spot on the Apple Music Nigeria Top 100 charts, as he is the “landlord” and no one can move him.
Portable, what happened to “The Sky is big enough for every bird to fly”?
