Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede seems to be backing up filmmaker Sam Olatunji in his disagreement with Angela Okorie over a dispute involving Mercy Johnson.
The controversy surfaced after Angela Okorie accused Mercy Johnson’s late mother of practicing witchcraft, causing a big debate in the entertainment world.
On May 3rd, 2024, Angela Okorie ignited controversy by publicly accusing Mercy Johnson’s deceased mother of being a practitioner of witchcraft, alleging that she had tied people’s destinies while alive.
Reacting to these claims, filmmaker Sam Olatunji pondered on how she came to the conclusion that Mercy Johnson’s mother was a witch if she wasn’t one herself. He admonished her fans to check up on her as he believes she is having a mental breakdown, and people think she is being a bitch.
Sam noted how the actress is fond of calling everyone out but thinks she has the most perfect character. He advised her to go check herself and reevaluate her mental state.
Yvonne Jegede, in agreement with Olatunji’s sentiments, expressed her support in the comments section, highlighting Okorie’s apparent lack of self-awareness.
“They don’t see anything wrong with themselves”.
Replying to her, Sam Olatunji agreed with her as he noted how Angela sees herself as Nollywood police.
“Abi o. They are Nollywood police”.
This recent controversy involving Angela Okorie follows her previous public spat with actor Zubby Michael, wherein she accused him of envy and striving for dominance within Nollywood.
