Actor, content creator, and fashion consultant Denola Grey has voiced his opinion on the recent sentencing of controversial social media personality Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky.
Denola took to social media to express his disapproval of the six-month imprisonment handed down to Bobrisky by the Federal High Court in Lagos.
Denola said Nigeria is full of bullies and criticized the perceived unfairness of Bobrisky’s sentencing. He suggested that Bobrisky’s arrest and sentencing were not just about the alleged currency abuse but rather an attempt to scapegoat him.
“We all know this isn’t about spraying. They’re scapegoating her and using this BS as a reason. I hate bullies. Unfortunately, this country is FULL of them.”
Bobrisky’s troubles started with his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) last week on charges related to currency abuse.
The sentencing, delivered by Justice Abimbola Awogboro, did not offer the option of a fine.
Bobrisky had pleaded guilty to a four-count charge of Naira abuse on April 5, leading to his subsequent detention and sentencing.
