Real Madrid superstar, Jude Bellingham, has been sanctioned for his red card against Valencia in a controversial 2-2 draw.
After clashing with referee Gil Manzano, the England international was sent off during stoppage time for disobedience. When Bellingham headed home, he believed he had scored a winner, but the referee had already blown for full-time.
Jude Bellingham went off in rage screaming, “It’s a f***ing goal!” at the referee after discovering his goal was disallowed because it went in after the final whistle was blown.
According to the Spanish Football Federation, Madrid appealed against his red card, but the federation’s disciplinary committee dismissed their complaint that referee Jesus Gil Manzano, made an “error” by dismissing Bellingham.
Madrid is eight points ahead of RB Leipzig in La Liga and have advanced to the Champions League quarterfinals after winning the first leg 1-0. Nevertheless, Bellingham’s absence is a blow for Madrid.
