Amid the rising economic hardship in the country, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced plans to ease the effects of the hardship on Lagos residents.
Speaking with journalists during a media chat earlier today, the Governor said his government will start operations for Sunday markets in at least 42 markets in the state to help assist residents, amongst other issues.

The Governor also added that his administration is also constructing about four food hubs to offer a new food distribution system in the state. The Governor said,
“We will open Sunday markets in at least 42 identified markets across Lagos State. You will be able to buy food items at a discounted price. You will only have to be able to buy items worth up to #25,000. Coupled with the one at Idi-Oro, Mushin, four more food hubs are under construction and 7 other locations in other local governments have also been identified for more food hubs to be developed”.

Sanwo-Olu also announced a free delivery service for pregnant Lagos residents who are registered in any of the government hospitals in the state.
Additionally, the Governor also promised that his administration give a rebate on certain drugs in state-owned hospitals.116:00
