Canadian rapper Drake and Nigerian Afrobeat star Wizkid have made streaming history as their collaborative single “One Dance” has surpassed three billion streams on Spotify.
The song which is on Drake’s fourth studio album “Views”, was released in 2016, and in the same year, created history being the most streamed song as it accrued over 880 million streams.
Since its release, the track has consistently performed well, making multiple appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. In 2023 alone, it garnered over 1 billion streams.
“One Dance” reached the 3 billion mark this month and continues to climb.
This according to routenote.com, sees Drake as the is the most streamed artiste of all time with over 70 billion streams, and Taylor Swift is second with just over 68 billion streams.
While there is no official video for the song, there’s a live performance of the remix on SNL ft. Wizkid, and Kyla which have been streamed over 28 million times on YouTube
