Lionel Messi has donated his 8th Ballon d’Or to Barcelona’s museum.
Even though the World Cup winner won his record 8th Ballon d’Or in his first season at Inter Miami, the Argentine has further shown that he will remain a Culer forever. Lionel Messi once said,
“Everything I own is in Barcelona, there at the museum. Ballon d’Ors, Golden Boots, everything.”

Recall that Lionel Messi parted ways with the La Liga giants back in 2021 after more than 17 years at Camp Nou. He joined the French side, Paris Saint-German (PSG) as a free agent and after two seasons in Paris, the Argentine moved to Major League Soccer side, Inter Miami.
After Lionel Messi and Argentina won the World Cup 2022 tournament in Qatar, an eighth golden ball was awarded to him at the Ballon d’Or ceremony held in France in 2023.
Lionel Messi and Inter Miami went ahead to win the Major League Cup, making him the most decorated player of all time with 44 major honors to his name.
The Argentine star has made the gesture of giving up his record 8th Ballon d’Or so it can be displayed alongside along with the other seven Golden Balls he won with Barcelona.
