Rose May Alaba, a talented musician of Austrian-Nigerian descent, has embarked on a mission to introduce and popularize the vibrant West African music genre, afrobeats, within the German-speaking region.
In a recent interview with Ameyaw TV, the songstress, who happens to be the sister of Real Madrid football star David Alaba, expressed her dedication to promoting afrobeats in Austria.
Rose May, known for her hit track ‘Ibadi,’ proudly declared herself as the only afrobeats artist currently making waves in Austria. “I was born and raised in Austria. It’s a very small country. I’m the only afrobeats artiste who brings that music [afrobeats] to this country. So, I feel like it is my mission to make afrobeats more known in the German-speaking region,” she stated.
