British actor, Idris Elba urged the people of Sierra Leone in their native “Krio” language to maintain integrity in the country’s forthcoming election.
“Sierra Leoneans, greetings. Idris Elba here proud son of the soil. I am sending this message to you to ask you to please let this election be done peacefully, no violence.” Idris Elba said.
Sierra Leoneans will troop out on the 24th of June, 2023 to vote for a new president and government.
“Young people there, you are the owners of this election, you have the power, if we burn the country down, we have to build it back. So please let us not take the country backward, because we are going forward. We have to change the narrative. Not only is the world watching, the entire Africa is watching us Sierra Leoneans.” Idris Elba further reiterated.
