Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party defeated Olubankole Wellington, also known as Banky W, of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded House of Representatives election held on Saturday, February 25, 2023.

Deyemi opened his letter congratulating the newly elected representative of the Eti-Osa constituency on his victory on Saturday. He further expressed his shock saying, “as with a lot of Lagosians, I only first heard of you when you have announced the winner a few days ago”.

He demanded to know Thaddeus’ “qualifications, past precedents, and plans for the people of Eti-Osa”. He proposed an online intellectual discourse with the honorable member of Eti-Osa. A right he is privileged to as a citizen of the state and a member of the community.

To Deyemi overthrowing an incumbent member and a public figure appears to be a mystery plot only seen in the movies.

He concluded his letter urging Nigerians to head to the polls on the 11th of March, 2023 to elect a leader who will fulfill their desires and provide excellent leadership.
