First Batch Of COVID-19 Vaccines Finally Arrive In Nigeria

The first batch of the COVID-19 vaccines have arrived in Nigeria.

These Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines have been approved by the NAFDAC and they arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja today in an Emirates airline.

The delegation who received the vaccines were led by the PTF Chairman, Boss Mustapha and included the Minister for Health, Osagie Ehanire, the Minister for Information, Lai Mohammed, and the Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Chikwe Ihekweazu.

The National Primary Health Care Development Agency on Monday indicated that Nigerians can now register for the COVID-19 vaccination via its website.

In a tweet, the agency said;

“To register for #COVID19 Vaccination, visit our website http://nphcda.gov.ng and click on ‘COVID-19 Vaccination e-registration.”
