Commissioner of Health of Lagos State Professor Akin Abayomi, who already tested positive for Coronavirus has said taken to his Twitter page to give highlights of his discussion on Naija Info FM on #Covid19Heroes.
Sharing his observations on the recent cases of Coronavirus in the country, he wrote, “Lagos have past the worst of the pandemic, it has past the peak of the pandemic and is now on the flattening stage and over time will experience a down slope of the virus then the end of #COVID19.”
He also shared his current health condition with the public, as he undergoes treatment for the virus. He wrote, “It surprises many and myself that it took this long for me to contract #COVID19, I thought on many occasions that I had contracted it as I have been exposed on several occasions. Immediately some members of my family lost their sense of taste and smell, I knew I had been at risk and it is not surprising that I tested positive. I have been a little bit under the weather, but it is not a serious case.” He also advised the public to follow all #COVID19 safety protocols.
