Salt, just like sugar is used for sweetening purposes; however, medical experts have recommended an average use of these sweeteners so as not to cause so much harm to the body organs.

It has also been discovered that a high intake of salt leads to stroke, obesity, heart failure, kidney disease and the likes. For health purposes, the intake of salt should be reduced, including as to the consumption of processed foods such as cereal or bread. No one wants to spend money and time at the hospital for cases such as stroke or kidney failure; it is therefore important that the high intake of salt be checked. Prevention is always better than cure.
