Kareem Waris, an 11-year-old hyperrealistic artiste has emerged the recipient of Taiwan’s Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural and Educational Foundation‘s “22nd Fervent Global Love of Lives Award”, after beating 2,723 other recommended candidates in the world.
This was made known by the Representative of Taiwan in Nigeria, Amb. Vincent Yang, on Wednesday. He also mentioned that Kareem will attend charity events with other laureates, scheduled to hold in Taipei from Sept. 20 to Sept. 28, during which he will also meet the Taiwanese President.
In 2018, Kareem gained prominence when he sketched a portrait of the French President, Emmanuel Macron, under two hours, during his visit to Lagos.
