Brooklyn rapper, Fabolous will avoid jail time after taking a plea deal in his domestic violence case.
According to the plea deal, Prosecutors will dismiss the rapper’s charges as long as he stays out of trouble for a year and also completes a pretrial intervention program.
Fabolous was charged for domestic abuse of his long term girlfriend Emily B and her father. According to reports, the 41-year old stuck Emily, who is the mother of his two children seven times which caused severe damage to her two front teeth.
Fearing he was going tom use his firearms to arm her, Emily called her father and brother to come to the house to take his firearms away. When Fabolous found out the guns were gone, he allegedly threatened to kill Emily, her father and brother.
Fabolous was subsequently charged with and indicted on one count of domestic violence with significant bodily injury, two counts of threatening to kill, and one count of possession of a weapon. All these charges could together could have the rapper face up to 20 years in prison.
One reason he avoided jail could be because Emily and her father supported him throughout. The couple are still together.
