FC Barcelona have introduced a new crest that will be used starting in the 2019-20 season, pending club membership approval.
The biggest change from the old one is the removal of the “FCB” lettering featured prominently on the club’s crest.
The new crest has the former shape intact although the FCB acronym and the internal black lines disappear. The Barcelona official twitter handle that announced the new design said it was “more homogeneous, more harmonious, and brighter and to be applied beginning with the 2019/20 season.”
This is the proposed update to the Barça crest, subject to member approval

The change is believed to have already been approved by the Board of Directors, but will still need to be be ratified by club membership at the Delegate Assembly on October 20 to make it official.
If approved, it will be the first time that Barcelona have chanced their logo since 2002 and also the first time 1910 that the acronym “CFB” or “FCB” wont appear on the club’s crest.
