The debate which was organised by media organisation, Channels Television saw four out of five in attendance for the debate.
The debate was attended by Alh Fatai Akingbade of the African Democratic Congress (ADC); Alh Moshood Adeoti of the Action Democratic Party (ADP); Alh Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC); and Sen Iyiola Omisore of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) leaving Sen Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) absent from the debate.
The two hour debate which was hosted by Channels TV political correspondent, Seun Okinbaloye was held at the states capital, Osogbo.
The gubernitorial candidates emerged for the debate following a survey carried out on Channels TV’s website. The debate was also broadcasted by other media in the state in the indigenous language of the state – Yoruba.
Candidates were asked questions which focused on what the individual wants to do for the state and the strategies to be applied to get desired results.
