Serena Williams has played down the row involving her outfit during the French Open.
This came after French Open President, Bernard Guidicelli asked all players to be conservative in their choice of outfit at future French Open competitions, and even name-dropped Serena.
“I believe we have sometimes gone too far. Serena’s outfit this year, for example, would no longer be accepted. You have to respect the game and the place.”
Williams have now responded to his quote in a press conference before the US. Open.
“I don’t know exactly what he seems to say.” She said.
“We already talked, an we have a good relationship. We talked yesterday and everything is fine.”
She also made light work of what could have been a touchy topic of the organizers trying to police her outfit, especially after she revealed the purpose of the outfit to to stop blood clot.
“I’ve seen found other method” she said referring to means to stop the blood clotting.
“When it comes to fashion, you don’t want to be a repeat offender.” she joked.
