Hafsat Abiola-Costello, daughter of the late MKO Abiola, has apologised to President Muhammadu Buhari. The apology was tendered to Buhari and his family on behalf of her late father.
According to Hafsat, it is surprising that president Buhari was used by God as an instrument to restore honour to her father.
Hafsat Abiola-Costello during the June 12 investiture in honour of her father and two others said things seem impossible until it is done.
In her words:
“Nelson Mandela was the one who said, ‘It always seems impossible until it is done.’ Who would have believed, given the relationship that you had with MKO Abiola, that you would be the instrument God will use to honour this man and to bring reconciliation and healing to the country.
You apologised to my father and it touched my heart; you know that I lost also my mother in this struggle. To get apology meant so much, let me use this opportunity on behalf of Chief MKO Abiola, because I know what he would have done, apologise to you, to apologise to your family for anything that he might have done to harm you and to harm your family.”
