21 Savage Arrested By ICE In Atlanta, Set For Deportation
21 Savage was arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Atlanta and has been taken into custody, set for possible deportation from the US.
According to reports, 21 Savage, whose real name is Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, entered the US legally in 2005 but his visa expired in 2005 and has since been in America illegally. He arrived America at the age of 12.
He is currently being held for staying in the country illegally as well as being a felon – he was convicted for drug charges in 2014.
His attorney, Dina LaPolt, tells TMZ, “We are working diligently to get Mr. Abraham-Joseph out of detention while we work with authorities to clear up any misunderstanding. Mr. Abraham-Joseph is a role model to the young people in the country — especially in Atlanta, Georgia and is actively working in the community leading programs to help underprivileged youths in financial literacy.”
He is currently in custody in Georgia.
It is not currently clear what part of UK he is from.
