Ladybuckit and the Motley Mopsters will blow you away this December

We need a feel good moment(s). Who are we kidding? The past few months have been depressing. Who did we offend?! In the famous words of BBNaija season four winner, Mercy Eke,  ‘we just want to rest and be taken kia of’. And we think we know just the way we want to do this. How? With just four words -Ladybuckit and the Motley Mopsters!

Wait, what’s that?

LBMM will be Nigeria’s first-ever feature-length animation movie to make an appearance in cinemas. Yup, we have finally done it. And we didn’t just do it, from the looks of the trailer, we nailed it and destroyed the nail sef!

Well, apart from the bragging rights to tell your nieces, nephews and cousins that we have our own full-length cartoon, LBMM has a great story to enjoy. This is the story of a brilliant, precocious girl who finds herself in wildly unfamiliar territory. There, she encounters a band of highly unusual characters who change the course of her destiny. And there are rumours the girl turns into a bucket! Who can bet that she picked money from the floor? Lol!

Scene from the LBMM teaser

On a more serious note, this one-minute ten-second teaser is giving us ideas and it’s refreshing to see. The Director and Lead Animator, Bisi Adetayo, worked on Game of Thrones. Be still our beating hearts! We are so ready for this.

So, by December 11, 2020 – when LBMM premieres and starts showing at the cinemas – we are ready for everything the universe of LBMM is about to serve us on a platter. Great story, fun visuals, a 14-tracker original album (DJ Klem and Ava Momoh have cooked up something there. If you don’t know who they are, please, google and pick your jaws from the floor, afterwards) and so much more.

December is about to be lit up!
