Kim Kardashian, Lupita Nyongo, Celine Dion, and Others Storm Met Gala in Creative Outfits
Celebrities appeared in bright numbers and creative outfits. This year’s theme was chosen to coincide with an upcoming exhibition inspired by photographer Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay, Notes on Camp. The annual event is done as a benefit event for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and can be considered as one of the biggest fashion events in New York.
Celebrities from various walks of life were in attendance and some of the popular faces spotted at event include; Kim Kardashian, Lupita Nyongo, Serena Williams, Janelle Monae, Ezra Miller, Katy Perry, Kanye West, Sophie Turner, Harry Styles and many others.
The exhibition of the costumes was targeted to portray humour, parody, artifice and exaggeration. See more photos below:
