Brazil Overtakes Argentina As World No.1 in Latest FIFA Ranking

Brazil is World No.1

Brazil is now No. 1 in world football. According to the latest ranking released by FIFA on Thursday, they are number one for the first time in seven years.

The last time Brazil led the rankings was during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Argentina who were formerly top dropped to No. 2 after losing to Bolivia in the World Cup Qualifier.  This also coming after Lionel Messi was given a four-match ban for abusive language towards an official.

Germany remains 3rd, followed Chile and ColombiaFrance is No. 6, while Belgium sits at 7. Portugal is No. 8, with Switzerland and Spain rounding out the top 10.

Egypt leads Africa countries  at 19 and Nigeria moved up to 40
