Real Madrid and Barcelona Top List of Winners at Spanish football awards
Yesterday, the Spanish Football League (LFP) recognised players from the top division during its annual awards ceremony on Monday night.
As expected, FC Barcelona walked away with the majority of the prizes with Luis Enrique being named the best coach of the year, while Claudio Bravo was considered the best goalkeeper of 2015 and Leo Messi was named the best striker of the year.
Neymar was considered the best ‘South American’ player of 2014-2015 season, while Valencia midfielder Sofaine Feghouli was the best African player in Spain.
Despite a disappointing year, Real Madrid also won two prizes as Sergio Ramos was named the best defender of the year and James Rodriguez the best midfielder, while Cristiano Ronaldo was named the Fans’ player of the season.
