Mr. Gordon Obuah Debunks Claims That He Died In Custody

Yesterday, a news site, BTBreaking News covered a story claiming that the former Chief Security Officer to former President Goodluck Jonathan had died in custody.

Mr. Obuah was reportedly arrested by the Department of State Security (DSS) in connection with an oil bunkering case. After the story by BTBreaking News, the story went viral as to how he had died in the DSS facility in Abuja.

In a hastily arranged press conference yesterday, Mr. Obuah dismissed these rumors, saying; “This morning my attention was drawn to publications that I have died in detention. This has caused serious anxiety within the populace and I want to use this medium to tell Nigerians, members of my family and all concerned citizens that I am healthy.”
