International Day of the Girl took place yesterday, 11th October 2017, Pop singer, Beyonce teamed up with Chime for Change and The Global Goals to release a short film showing an international troupe of fierce, charismatic young girls ages 5 – 11, lip syncing and dancing to her 2016 song “Freedom.”
The video was directed by MJ Delaney who says “Happy, smiley joy doesn’t really cut the mustard now,.A lot has happened globally, and I wanted to do something defiant and angry and demanding.”
