The CEO of Etisalat Nigeria, Hakeem Belo-Osagie resigns after the approval of a restructuring plan for the popular telecommunications company.
According to Vanguard report, Hakeem planned to leave after the banks took over but he deliberately waited “until a road map for the company was finalised” in a bid to protect the stakeholders. Going forward under its new structure, Etisalat Nigerian will commence its “current loan repayment challenge with minimum impact.”
A group of banks – foreign and local – have taken over the management of Etisalat Nigeria.
