Soulja Boy‘s rap career has been overshadowed by numerous run-ins with the lawand now the American rapper has narrowly avoided a lengthy jail sentence after he was found with guns at his home in December.
The Kiss Me Thru The Phone singer pleaded not guilty to charges of felony possession of an assault weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm but changed his plea to no contest, reported TMZ
The 26-year-old, who accepted a plea deal, is not allowed to threaten anyone or possess any deadly weapons, which includes replica or toy guns.
Under the terms of the deal the controversial rapper will also be on probation for five years and have to do 240 days of community work.
He will still be allowed to leave the country as long as he gets permission from his probation officer
