Students at the University of Port Harcourt have started a protest following a management decision related to tuition fees.
The university management announced on Monday morning that all students who hadn’t paid their fees before the start of exams today would be forced to repeat the session.
Students have blocked roads leading to the university and carried placards in protest.
The UNIPORT management is increasingly unpopular with students, having increased tuition fees more than threefold in the last five years.
The university management has also introduced development levels and hiked acceptance fees for new students.
