The United Arab Emirates had in October charged 41 people with terrorism as well as sponsoring the activities of the terrorist groups, Al Qaeda and ISIL.
Of the 41 people charged, a UAE court has sentenced 11 people to life imprisonment for sponsoring Al Qaeda and ISIL and has also sentenced four others to six months in prison for the possession of weapons.

The Nationalities of the convicted men has not been disclosed as a news agency disclosed that two of the suspects were sentenced in absentia.
