A cave-in at a gypsum mine in China’s Shandong province on December 25, 2015 led to twenty nine miners being trapped underground.
Rescue operations have been on going since the mine caved in with fifteen miners rescued till date and thirteen still missing.
Four of the miners were rescued yesterday, 36 days after the incident at Shandong. The men were said to be 656ft below the ground.
They managed to survive by receiving fluids passed to them by the rescuers using narrow boreholes.
Rescue operations are continuing to find the thirteen men still missing.
