According to ET Online, Steve Harvey will be back as the host of Miss Universe next year—and for years to come.
Multiple sources confirmed to ET that Harvey would definitely be back next year to host the pageant, despite his blunder of announcing and crowning the wrong winner at Sunday’s live Miss Universe pageant.
A source close to production told ET that the Family Feud host actually signed a multiyear contract just days before this year’s Miss Universe pageant—which has him hosting the telecast for as many as six or seven years and paying him “more than they’ve ever paid before for a host.”
ET also reports that WME/IMG (the media agency that recently purchased the Miss Universe Organization) “really loves” Harvey—and likely has no complaints about all of the recent attention he’s brought to the pageant.
