The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton isn’t usually one to wear tiaras, but sometimes it comes with the job, the job = being a princess and donning a crown and shining bright like a diamond. Talk about job envy.
Kate Middleton was spotted in one of late Princess Diana’s beloved tiaras to the Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, Dec. 8. She wore the Lover’s Knot Tiara which was commissioned by Queen Mary in 1913 and made famous by the late Princess Di.
Kate’s only worn a tiara a few times since marrying into the British royal family, and she accessorized herself with a particularly special one for the Reception.
The lover’s knot tiara hasn’t been worn since Diana’s death in 1997, but it seemed appropriate that Kate would be decked with an item so special to Prince William’s mother.
