According to new reports, Tottenham Hotspurs are still paying the wages of Togolese striker Emmanuel Adebayor, who earns about £100,000-per-week for doing nothing.
According to the Sun, the North London club will pay his wages until the end of the season and he will remain as the highest paid player at the club until then.
What’s even worse is the fact that if a club do want to sign him, and they are not prepared to pay his wage demands, then Spurs will have to pay a proportion of his wages.
Transfer gossips have indicated that only Chelsea have step up their interest to sign the striker on a free transfer in January, meaning Spurs could end up paying him to score goals for their league rivals.
