An election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja has reportedly nullified the election of 20 members of the Rivers state house of Assembly.
The judgment comes just a few days after a tribunal also ordered fresh Governorship elections in Rivers state following the nullification of the results of the governorship election.
The election petition tribunal sacked the Speaker of the Rivers state house of Assembly Owaji Ibani as well as the other lawmakers, citing irregularities and violence in the conduct of the elections.

All the affected lawmakers were elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
