CoCreation Hub, Oracle and Tenece invite ideas and people to the Enterprise Technology Challenge?, an event to create web & mobile solutions to problems faced by Nigerian small and growing businesses.
Small and growing businesses are critical drivers of the Nigerian economy as far as wealth creation and employment. Yet, we have one of the toughest climates to do business with a current ranking of 170 out of 189 countries according to World Bank Group’s Doing Business 2015 Report.
As more Nigerians come online, opportunities arise for techsavvy small and growing enterprises to improve efficiency, increase their reach and enhance their profitability. Consequently, opportunities arise for groundbreaking ideas that solve the problems facing Nigeria’s small & growing businesses taking into consideration the unique nuances of our locality and business culture. This is the reason for running the Enterprise Technology Challenge.
The Enterprise Technology Challenge,?set to take place at the start of November 2015, is a 48 hour rapid prototyping hackathon, where software developers/designers, branding gurus, SME experts and business brains collaborate to transform shortlisted ideas into working prototypes?. Working in teams, they will build innovative, locally appealing and relevant web and mobile apps that empower & support the needs and aspirations of small & growing businesses in Nigeria. At the end of the weekend, the teams will present their working prototypes to a panel of expert judges and the top 3 teams will win a part of N2.1 million in cash prizes towards completion and launch of the solutions.
Nigeria’s foremost social innovation centre, CoCreation hub in association with Oracle?? one of the world’s leading provider of fully integrated stack of cloud applications and platform services and Tenece?? a multicompetency enterprise transformation and technology consulting firm, have put together an innovative way to facilitate the use of technology in transformative and impacting business solutions.
