It was indeed a successful festival as African Film Makers were not only recognized for their ingenious works but the festival also symbolized the future of African story telling.
“We should be the ones telling our stories because we know it better than anyone”- Ugoma Adegoke

?Every moment the lights went out and the screen lit, silence fell on the full screening room, which was filled to capacity on all five days. The minute the lights came on, everyone in the room had an opinion about the movie they had seen.
From films like ‘Eighteam’, ‘Finding Fela’, ‘Henna’, ‘Soko Sanko’, Gone too Far to Nollywood;from moments of reflection to moments where the crowd burst into laughter till their bellies ached; the Film Festival created a bond, mild arguments as well arousal for knowledge and creativity among the audience.
