The Daily Trust of Nigeria reports that soldiers who were earlier dismissed from the Nigerian army for failing to fight Boko Haram have been recalled.
3,000 soldiers who claimed not to have arms and consequently refused to fight the Boko Haram terrorists were dismissed and a number of them court martialled.
The daily Trust reports that the soldiers are being screened to determine if their excuses have merit before the determination of possible reinstatement.
CNN interviewed a number of soldiers anonymously three months ago who painted pictures of how underarmed the army was and how they were sent to the front to fight without adequate arms.
