Happy New year once again.
General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church Of God Pastor Enoch Adeboye made some Prophecies concerning Nigeria and the world.
Below are the Prophecies by the man of God for the World at large.
1. Daddy says scientific and medical breakthroughs will be many, particularly in the areas of lack of sleep, dreams, and brain disorders.
2. Daddy says Ebola will dry out
3. Daddy says all over the world, insurgency will be considerably weakened.
4. Father asks us to pray against massive calamities.
5. Daddy asks us to pray against massive earthquakes, strong hurricanes and typhoons.
Amennn.
Year in year out I deliberately restrain myself from making any comments about pastor Adeboye’s prophecy but I couldn’t hold it any longer after reading the one for this year. Can we seriously call them prophecies?
I’ve kept myself abreast with his prophecies each year and found out he says the same thing in different ways. Let compare some prophecies for last year and this year.
Excerpts from prophecy for 2014
INTERNATIONAL
1. There will be major breakthroughs in medicine and science
2. Pray against noisy highly destructive storms
3. Pray against monumental fire outbreaks.
Excerpts from prophecy for 2015
INTERNATIONAL
1. Scientific and medical breakthrough will be many, particularly in the areas of lack of sleep, dreams and brain disorder.
2. Daddy says Ebola will die out.
3. Daddy says all over the world insurgencies will be considerately weakened.
4. He asked us to pray against massive calamities.
5. He asked us to pray against massive earthquakes, strong hurricane and typhoons.
Both are so glaringly similar but he did at least try to go out on a limb this time by being specific on areas were the scientific breakthroughs will happen, Ebola and the insurgents.
How about 2013? The weather and medical breakthroughs where also mentioned. Obviously, there are always scientific breakthroughs every year so saying that and calling it prophecy is actually stating the obvious. And everyone knows the weather is getting really bizarre and we do not need a prophet to tell us that much. 2012 too was not really any different. The prophecies for individuals was the same but worded slightly differently. Scientific breakthroughs as well as tumultuous weather still featured.
Am sorry all that he says are way too vague and far too generic to be considered prophecies. The bible says “if the trumpet gives an ‘uncertain’ sound who shall prepare himself to battle?” Prophecy/predictions have to be specific and easily identifiable. Prophecy in scripture was always specific and easy to identify when they came to pass. They were never about everyday things. Elijah predicted a famine, the fall of Ahab was clearly predicted to a ‘T’ and so on.
It is definitely no prophecy to say some people will experience abundance; it is a fact of life. There will always be those who will experience good fortune and those whose fortune will dwindle in any given year. So rather than call these prophecies, calling them goals, dreams or visions will actually be more apt and make more sense.
This wasn’t really much. I think God is keeping a lot of things secret. Even Olukoya didn’t prophesy much. I’m guessing there are some impending disasters.
I do not intend to start an argument but there’s never been much in his ‘prophecies’ if I can actually call them that.
He keeps saying the same thing year in year out and they are quite common everyday things. It is not enough to just say there will be scientific breakthroughs in a year; there are always scientific breakthroughs year in year out. It would have been a clear prophecy if he was specific about the breakthrough.
All of these so-called prophecies are simply tools of manipulation. They use it to condition the minds of people and control their behaviours. Take that 100 days fasting for example; where in the bible have you ever seen God reward people for fasting? What makes it even more ridiculous is the different ways you could go about it; do a dry fast for ‘x’ number of days and you wouldn’t need to do the whole 100. To what end?
From all that I have seen, next year’s will be no different; scientific breakthroughs, hurricanes and adverse weather conditions, with prosperity for some individuals and so on. These are not prophecies in any way.
God bless
